I'm not good with job hunting at all.
I have trouble staying focused. I'm easily intimidated by job descriptions, and scared to death of interviews.

1. I think lots of people feel that way
Nowadays, the people writing job descriptions try to tack on every single responsibility that they can think of, like they're trying to find the absolute maximum amount of responsibility while staying just a hair shy of the level that would drive most people to suicide.

And I hate interviews too. I dislike being scrutinized, and I really dislike someone else being in a position to really be an asshole, knowing full well that if I want the job, I have to keep my mouth shut and keep smiling away.

I think I'm just going to start my own political consultancy business when I'm done with school, and find some partners to work with on an equal basis. I could organize it like a law firm, but instead of advising specifically about law, we could cover political strategy, campaign strategy, public relations, opposition research, public opinion polling, and everything else that a politician could need--all under one roof, and with the understanding that we do not represent or work for Republicans.

2. I'm going through the same thing
Went for my first interview in over 10 years last week. I'm glad to get that behind me but still tighten up when the phone rings and I don't recognize the number. Employers throw everything but the kitchen sink in job descriptions expecting to find a candidate with every skill imaginable.
Good luck to you and know you are not alone.

3. I tend to be too honest in job interviews.
I say things like, "My greatest weakness? Well, I find rude people to be extremely irritating. Oh, and I hate being told what to do by people who don't know what they're doing."

4. My greatest weakness? I hate interviewers who ask that stupid, stupid question.

What do they expect? That you're going to say, "I'm lazy?"

I hate interviews with a passion. Especially when an employer schedules you for an interview when they know full well who they're going to put in the job position, but they just have to interview X number of people to make it appear their hiring was "fair." Never mind that they're wasting your time and your money going on the interview. ESPECIALLY I hate it when people do this and you have to travel a distance to the interview.
