Here's an image I don't need in my head... |
|
The Orkin guy was over in the church building, doing his regular preventative spraying (cockroaches have been ubiquitous around here since the floods--so we're trying to stay ahead of the game). He just came to the office to tell me he'll need to do something more this time, because he found cock roach feces in the building. Cockroach feces. There's a pleasant thought. The two most disgusting things in the universe in one phrase. I may never eat again.

I asked him where they were. I won't be opening that cabinet any time soon.
I think the cleaner should get combat pay for dealing with it.

14. Bleach out the infected areas. |
|
Other cockroaches follow the "chemical trail" from the feces which in turn lures more cockroaches.
Bleach.
Lots of bleach.

20. He said he placed baits around this time, |
|
rather than just spraying. He explained that spray keeps 'em away, mostly. Baits kill 'em. I'm assuming "baits" and "roach motels" are the same thing. I'm kind of glad we have a pro doing this. I don't have to deal with it (had 'em in the house this summer--at the time of the floods). Combat roach motels are my friend. But I'm going to let him figure the best way to handle it. That's what we pay him for.
