just got back from a "girls night out"

dinner and several bands. Wow, it's been a long time. I forgot that people still leave their houses, eat at restaurants without children, listen to music and drink beer. Hubby and kid stayed home and watched Laurel and Hardy.

3. one was called the Mofones

I used to play with the bass player in another band before I had a kid and had to "retire" from shlepping amps. They were fun, 1 guy and three women, kind of a pop/punk B-52's thing. Silly and very good. Great voices.

The other band was called Selena Catalena, a torchy band with 2 women, 1 keyboard, upright bass and drums. Quite good and imaginative actually. It is good to see more bands with women in them, wasn't so common when I was playing out.

I kept my underwear on. My girlfreind was chatting up these young guys in the Mexican restaurant we went to, one said Were you guys bad girls when you were young. What a howl. I just rolled my eyes. I am really out of practice with that stuff.
