Grilled salmon with a mustard and dill sauce. Spinach salad, new potatoes and asparagus.

A bottle or more of Pinot Gris from one of the local wineries.

Desert: Ice cream with wild huckleberry topping.

13. Depends on the time of day
If its morning, then bacon, eggs and sourdough toast with real butter.

If its evening, then chicken curry with basmati rice or maybe a bbq'd ribeye.

I treat my guests well.

17. A very insulting menu indeed...
Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 06:46 PM by Mike03
1. Possibly a protein shake for breakfast, with a few raw almonds and some berries. But this meal is served so late that it probably qualifies as "lunch."

2. In the event nothing else has been served by noon, you get a can of kidney beans with some blue cheese and olive oil, or a bowl of Grape Nuts with fruit and flavored almond milk.

3. Dinner: Gigantic salad with or without a cut up chicken breast.

Late night snack: Organic almond or peanut butter plus almond milk.

Wow, seeing this typed out like this makes me realize how pathetic, strange and hopeless I am... getting into Howard Hughes territory.

EDIT: Just to explain, I'm TRYING for the umpteenth time to go vegan, but has resulted in a very perverse menu.

i haven't made pinto beans since i gave up mammal meat so i decided to try something new with them. i sauteed some yellow onion and fresh garlic and mixed that in, and added some tomato chunks, a little bit of salt and pepper, and it should be done soon. hopefully in time for mom to come home :D

35. Well to be fair
I haven't given up fish and poultry. I started with beef and then moved onto all other mammal meat. I still do dairy. Giving up the mammal meat was a lot easier then I expected, I just get to play around more with recipes.

Good luck on giving up all meat and don't be hard on yourself if you have to do it in steps! Sometimes it is a lot harder to just dive in to the deep end.

with my cooking, it might be a quiche lorraine with a big salad

or a lovely saute of chicken, asparagus, mushrooms and hatch chile pesto with a light white wine cream sauce, a big salad, some crusty french bread, and a lemon souffle, with coffee of course

I make a really decadent home made cake too.

I even have some lovely Weight Watchers recipes that are very impressive
