Has anyone discovered a way to download videos from youtube onto their iPod?

I'd kill to have Pink's acoustic version of "Trouble" from the AMA on my iPod. My wife would love me forever for it.


More than she already does, I mean. B-)

1. It's tricky.

My roommate knows a way to save videos off of YouTube. You have to do some weird stuff in your browser and then dig around in your cache for them. The you'd probably have to use VLC or some application to transcode it into an MPG or something QuickTime can read. Then using iMovie on a Mac or QuickTime Pro on Mac or PC, choose "Save for iPod." It's difficult, but I'm sure it can be done.

10. If you have a Mac, I know how. For free, even.

I do it all the time.

12. It's really easy.

1. Clear you cache.
2. Watch the youtube video.
3. Retrieve the .flv video from your cache.
4. Convert the .flv video to .mpeg4 with SuperC or another free program.
5. Upload to the ipod.
