My wonderful molar was treated with root canal therapy in September; it's hurting like hell again...

I'm set to see the endodontist tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM. He told me to take aspirin for inflammation. I did that for several nights and ended up with a stomach ache.

I don't know what to ask for tomorrow and am thoroughly confused about "progress" in endodontics since the 1970s and 1980s.

Anyone have any suggestions? What has worked for you? It's obvious that some percentage of root canal treated teeth fail. There are suggestions on the Internet about other types of filling materials.

Confusion reigns. I'm going to take a dose of narcotic painkiller and try to get myself sleepy.
