I'm moving AGAIN, ask me anything!
I moved in August, and was laid off the next day. I got a better job but it's across town and I don't drive...so now I'm transferring my lease to another place. I move in a month. :scared:

2. I wish I could go back to NYC
I just can't afford it on my own there, though...I'd have to move back in with my family and that just ain't happening.

I'll end up back there someday, probably when I finish school.

7. I moved to Phoenix last April
Some good friends of mine needed a roommate, and I was needing to get out of the rut I was in.

It's very different, but I like it. Overall it's been a good experience. I miss the diversity though, and the culture. (And White Castle, I admit it! :silly:)

The hilarious thing is how many ex-pat NYers I've found out here. I think there's enough of us for our own congressional district. :P

4. There are few things worse than packing everything you own
and moving. :(

(okay, I'm wrong. There are. I can think of many things worse. But it's still not fun to have to move.)

9. The one upside to all this
Is I'm still not entirely unpacked from when I moved into this place.

The thing that sucks though is this time I'm moving a queen bed instead of a twin, and I'm moving into a second story apartment. :(

5. I'm moving in a month too and I feel your pain.
I have boxes, still empty, stacked higher than my head sitting in the dining room and until today,
I've had a broken dishwasher and stacks of dishes piling up, waiting for the plumber all week. :evilfrown:

I tried to keep up but my son uses a new glass for everything. :argh:

And I have a ton of clothes to go through to either discard or wash and pack.

And I still haven't found the right place. :(

11. You poor thing!
I'm lucky, the place I found is within walking distnace of my job (take THAT carbon footprint!) and it's owned by the same company that owns my current complex, so I can transfer the lease and they're waiving most of the fees.

Good vibes your way...
