When was the last time you went out in costume on Halloween?
Me?

I wouldn't call it going out "in costume", but when I was living in Dallas, Tx in 1984, a drag queen friend of mine convinced me to do drag Halloween night. He picked out an outfit for me, did my makeup and got a wig for me. The results were horrendous to the extreme. Luckily, no pictures survive, :scared:. I admire the real drag queens...they are professionals. :-)

4. Hmmm well, it's not really a "costume"
Edited on Fri Oct-26-07 11:11 AM by MorningGlow
But as a witch, I "dress" for the holiday most every year. I missed getting gussied up last year because my toddler son was trick-or-treating for the first time in both my mom's neighborhood and ours. I hope to get back to dressing flashy this year, though!

6. Do I only count Halloweens?
I didn't dress up last Halloween, but I think the one before that I dressed as Magenta from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

If it can be other times than Halloween, my friends and I have taken to dressing up in pirate-y regalia and terrorizing coffee shops, movie theaters, and the local Winco in town on Saturday nights. Yeah, yeah, yeah, all hail his great and mighty noodley appendages and all that. :P What's that you say? Fridays are the religious holidays of the FSM? Well, my friends are students who don't have time to dress up in the mornings, so we atone for our wicked ways by doing the pirate-y thing on Saturday instead.

The funny thing is that when we go out there's usually one pirate captain and two pirate-y wenches. The last time me and my friend's husband dressed as the wenches and she was the captain, so the roles aren't always what some would think they should be.

Thank the God's otherwise I wouldn't be hanging around them.

I'd love to have seen that.

For Halloween one year, my brother went in drag. It was pretty damned impressive I have to say.

I love Halloween, and no one invited us to a party this year.

I suppose we could go to the Zombie Walk, though.

18. A few years ago when my son was still in HS
I went as a stabbing victim - handle stuck in the back, blade coming out of the front - and my son went as a shooting victim - bullet holes, and a tire track across his chest. Lots of fake blood for both.

We both had tags on our toes that read "accidental death."

We went to visit family and I didn't feel like dressing up. Well, the whole family was invited to a halloween party and decided to dress me up. They decided to dress me (female) as a guy with flannel shirt and oversized pants. Well, they cut the hair for my mustache and beard from a wig with black, curly hair and glued it to my face. Everyone at the party asked me if I fell into a pussy.

I think it was 1989. At the time I worked in a suburban travel agency. Most of our clients were well-to-do Stepford wives who came in to book the family's annual trip to Hawaii. They all wore spangly t-shirts over white leggings and had big, big hair. Many of them brought their Hispanic nanny along to watch the kids while they were taking care of business.

As a joke I showed up on Halloween dressed as one of the clients - oversized glitzy t-shirt with shoulder pads, white leggings, my thin hair teased as huge as I could manage. One of my co-workers came as my kids' nanny, toting my overflowing Nordstrom bag.

The other people in the office loved it. Not a single client commented other than to say they liked my t-shirt. Good times.

:woohoo:

He's going to be a devil, but he's not big on dressing up, so his "devil" is going to consist of black pants, a red dress shirt, and a "Hello my name is Mephastophales" sticker.

I'm going to be an angel and I was going to follow lionesspriyanka's suggestion and go with a white corset and skirt, but I found a very elegant white strapless dress to wear over the corset (too shy ) along with a halo and wings. O8)
