Many candidates from the various mainstream and third parties are vying hard for the nomination, and many other candidates are actively pursuing independent bids.

The Pev Party, the Moran Uniited Party, the Party of the Eternal Flamefest, the Photoshop Party, the Sisterhood of Snarkiness, the Reel Series Candydait Partie, the Eternal Vigilence Occupational Organization (EVOO), the Fuckin' Hugh Tent Party, the National Association for the Advancement of Kittens, the North American Spankalicious Association ("the fun NASA!"), and the Infinite LOLCats of America have all announced primaries to winnow their candidate fields down to a single person.

LynneSin is currently looking for deputies to enforce law and order (or at least, prevent looting) during the primaries. Interested applicants can pick up their tasers at the Armory.

The Lounge Election Commission is thankful the Lounge has instant run-off ballots, otherwise they would have quit en masse and fled to Outer Mongolia.

I did see your fellow Delawarian (sp?) David Bromberg last night at Strathmore......Outstanding. He had his Wife's band, The Angel Band, with him and Peter Rowan and Tony Rice opened......

If you - or anyone - can go see a concert at the Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda, I recommend it highly. Every act I've seen there, from Ravi Shankar to Dan Zanes, have remarked how great a place to perform it is.......
