OMG! Elizabeth Taylor kissed my husband!
I just found out one of those family stories I had never heard. Seems Liz was in Tucson in the mid-late 50's and attended the opening of some store and husband's mother took the kid's down - Ms. Taylor kissed some babies - he was one of them. 25 years married and I never heard this story!:wow:

1. Pshaw! I once drank wine with Elizabeth Taylor!
no, not her, but a Yale senior who brought a bottle to our Thursday night Story-reading. This Elizabeth Taylor was also one of the first New Orleans people I ever met.

I have as yet been unable to locate my Elizabeth Taylor through search, for reasons that should be evident. Even going for "elizabeth taylor" "new orleans" yields more stralet-related stuff, like 'Suddenly Last Summer'. :-)

4. oh it has been fun
been teasing him all day, told him I HAD to put that on the internets. I am so hoping his older sister has a picture somewhere.

This was triggered by a photo of the event in the paper "this day in Tucson history" or some such.
