Do they think everyone in America makes a $100/hr wage?

And, while their $30 comment makes sense, they are mixing one day's worth of food for one week's. I don't think it's cheaper...

1. For some people who aren't familiar with a stove
and its possible, but rare, dangers, eating out is probably safer too.

As for the economics of it, I wonder sometimes too, being by myself. And as far as portion sizes go, I can get three meals out of a typical takeout order.

The only reason to prefer cooking at home is that you control the quality, You can control salt, fats, sugars, allergies if you have them, all the stuff that plumps up your waisteline.

2. "large percentage would like...table-top televisions installed at their favorite eating joints"
:scared:

Our country is fucked.

And I don't think eating out is cheaper than cooking at home, unless you eat at shitholes - the kind of shitholes that WOULD put TVs on their table tops - that serve lower quality foods with way too much salt and fat, like Perkins, Dennys, TGIF, and so on.

4. OMG - I got to that part and almost cried.
What a sad statement about how some people choose to live their lives lives.

As far as the cost goes, it is cheaper to eat at home, and 99% of the time, my food tastes better than anything I could order at a restaurant for the price of my groceries, time, etc. On occasion I may take Little MB to "Moe's" for a football sized burrito at $6 on a busy tae kwon do night, but otherwise it's a home cooked meal - hey sometimes it's a PB&J.

We eat out rarely and save our ducats so that when we do, it is a 5-7 course gourmet meal with wine pairings. The chef will cook Little MB her own meal if she does not like what we are experimenting with that night...
