In My Mailbox This Morning

this is __________'s daughter. i just wanted to let everyone know that mommy lost her battle with cancer. she passed away august 16th i miss her everyday. she was a wonderful person and i wanted to thank all of you for being a part of her life in one way or another. i know shes in a better place and no longer in pain and thats what helps me sleep @ night and im sorry it took so long to let you all know.


I was email pals with this lady for several years. We worked together several years ago in another state. We exchanged email jokes and conversations sporadically.

I had not heard from her in several months. Now, I know why. I don't even know how old is this daughter that was kind enough to send the message.

Kind of sad.

It's just another reminder (like we need any of those) that people come in and go out of our lives, sometimes on a moment's notice...

And there's not a damned thing we can do about it, either...
