Something I noticed taking the kids Trick or Treating.
I took my children trick or treating in Greenville Pa.It is a very hard hit town. The local plants (trinity steel) and other manufacturing plants shut down over the last 20 years .Greenville has been on a big slide since.Greenville had a Halloween Parade yesterday.Usually there were a lot of kids showing up.I would guess in the hundreds. This year maybe 100 kids showed up to march.Anyone with a costume could march.Another thing I noticed was a lot of families doing a float. Not this year. All the floats were businesses except one.So onto trick or treating.I started up by st mikes church. My husband`s family lives over there. This area is the more working class and poor.I was very touched how generous and how many houses were decorated. On N3rd almost the entire street was out giving candy.I also noticed even in the cooler weather kids walked rather then parents driving house to house or cruising along following their children.
We stayed there for two hours before going over to the east end where the "moneyed area" of town is.I kid you not.One guy gave out two mm`s (not snack bags but two individual mm`s)Hardly any of the houses were giving out candy.
This was so glaring in contrast even my daughter Danielle noted (because of election signs in the yard)
Republicans are cheap.
