On the 50th anniversary of the first Lennon-McCartney meeting, a rare McCartney video...
I ran into this video totally by accident on a cooking site, Paul McCartney demonstrating how to make mashed potatoes, and it is hysterical! I was laughing out loud when I wasn't cringing at his use of the knife...:scared:

The potatoes are incidental, since he's so entertaining; my favorite part was when he talked to the glove...

1. That man is terminally cute, I swear
Even today--creeping toward the ranks of "old fart" and STILL cute.

3. I believe whacha got there
is the embodiment of the phrase "off-the-chart Q rating". And BTW, that's something, coming from me, as I've always been more of a "walk over shattered glass to get to George" kind of gal.

4. I agree, LOL!
I know more about making mashed potatoes than he does, but I've still watched the whole thing through, twice, still laughing out loud...

And I always did like Paul best, since he seemed the nicest, and I enjoyed his "silly love songs," pretty music...:D

6. How fun!
Thanks for posting Rhiannon...

Not to hijack your thread but it was suggested that I contact you about housebreaking my new dog. I heard the story of Barney and your success with him...

:hi:  :hi:

8. You're welcome... I like to cook and this made me laugh out loud, so I wanted to share it...
Who told you about Barney, Joe or Gina or Jeanne? LOL. Or was it me?:silly:

Barney was very special, got him from Steve Caporizzo after seeing him on "Pet Connection" and I fell in love. He looked remarkably like the dog I grew up with and his story broke my heart. He was 10 or 11, had been the stud dog at a commercial kennel (puppy mill :grr:) until he got too old, had never lived with people and wasn't housebroken. He, for obvious reasons, didn't get a lot of calls, but I really wanted him and he was perfect from day one, and was beautiful, with a wonderful temperament.:loveya:

He was rescued by my friend who is the best I know. She had worked with him and he was the best dog that I've ever had for not having accidents, only twice, when he was sick...;(

Her method was to keep him to a schedule. I had Barney for eight wonderful years and, when I wrote to Steve, who wanted to keep track of him, subsequently showed pix of him on "Pet Connection" twice, I called Barney "the dog of my heart...":loveya:

I'll discuss this more with you, though I haven't been nearly as successful with Jack, but he's a different dog, and still a puppy... *sigh*

My Barney:loveya:
