13. It was an ESPECIALLY favorite episode for me...

...because I saw the episodes in random order here in the States.
And I knew that "Duane Dibley" was a joke YEARS before I understood
the reference.

Moving about from town to town, occasionally renting a place
in an area where the "Public Television" channel featured
Red Dwarf in the wee hours of the A.M....

I saw all the RD episodes that made offhand "Duane Dibley" references,
and I determined from context that he was some sort of lame, geeky
standard-of-reference.

But I had kinda assumed he was an actual person for a few years there,
some sort of late-seventies Brit-lounge pop-crooning wanker,
until I finally saw that episode.

Hard to pick a fav episode from the series though.I love Tikka To Ride, Polymorph, and Terraform ("This looks like a twelve change of underwear trip!") but they're all damn funny.After Blackadder and the Young Ones, RD is my favorite show.I watch some every other day still.
