"I'll fucking kill you, you son of a bitch." Football Coach to 12 year old.

Coach Accused of Threatening to Kill 12-Year-Old Player
By CudahyNow.com

Story Updated: Oct 30, 2007

A Cudahy Middle School assistant football coach was suspended from attending games or practices and is under investigation by police for for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old player and threatening to kill the youth.

According to a police report, Michael Crawley, 39, grabbed the boy by his facemask and threw him to the ground, yelling profanities and threatening to kill him, after the boy performed a two-person block during practice, knocking over Crawley's son, who plays on the team. Crawley told police, he "lost his cool," and that the boy performed an illegal chop block, which injured his son.

"I'll (expletive) kill you, you son of a (expletive)," Crawley said, according to the report.

3. Big deal
What are we, a nation of fucking wusses?

Guy yells at kid. So fucking what?

My hockey coaches used to call us useless fucktards during every practice, and much worse if we deliberately injured other players (until we were ten, after which that was part of the instructions!).

This is dumb.

My coaches used to yell and scream at us too, but never saying that they were going to kill us. It's not a case of us being wusses, it is a case of someone being civil when disciplining a child whether it be in sports, the classroom or the home. If we expect more civility in this world, it starts with the adults.

A 23-year-old Cudahy man accused of beating his dog to death with a baseball bat was charged Wednesday with a felony and faces up to 3 1/2 years in prison, if convicted.

Sean Owen is accused of beating his beagle with an aluminum baseball bat because the dog was sick and Owen couldn't afford take it to a veterinarian or the humane society, or have it euthanized, according to the criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

87. So, that means all other assault should be legalized?
Edited on Wed Oct-31-07 11:01 AM by Pithlet
Because kids were and still are paddled in school? Paddling still happens in many schools. My son's school does it, though they have to get parental permission first. It's still illegal to assault people. It's even against the law for coaches. ETA I think paddling should be flat out outlawed as the assault it is, but as long as it exists I don't think it makes it okay for all other forms of assault.

72. My guy coaches HS football
He may swear, rant, rave and generally throw the occasional tantrum, but he would never behave like that guy. He horrifies parents and is beloved by his players, even years after they graduate. Threatening to kill a 12 year old? Not on his worst day. Throwing a 12 year old child on the ground? He'd destroy anyone he ever saw do that.

That man should not be coaching football. Especially if he can't handle seeing his son get hit. Kids make illegal tackles and other mistakes all the time. It's part of learning the game.

That coach should never be allowed to coach again.

77. Wrong
Football practice ain't beanbag. It is a game of violence and violence is part and parcel with teaching football.

85. It's a game that is violent. It's not a game of violence.
There is a difference. The aim is not to purposefully harm others, as a game of violence would be. People get hurt because it is extremely forceful, but the injury itself is not the specific goal. Otherwise padding and helmets wouldn't be worn. And the fact that it is a forceful, violent, dangerous sport doesn't excuse deliberate assault. The coach should be charged.

93. By your definition, boxing is a game of violence
Yet protective equipment is worn.

Yours is a distinction without a difference.

84. If he can't tolerate his son getting injured
he should advise him to take part in a sport that doesn't involve the players ramming into each other.

89. I coached a season of little league football for community service based on anger issues.
I couldn't do it because I nearly blew at the kids. I never did, though, but often had to walk away because I was so angry that I really had that blind rage. It's hard controlling it when your team doesn't run the fucking play you fucking call and then fumble because of the confusion, only to FAIL to tackle and the opposing team RUNS IT BACK FOR A TOUCHDOWN TO SEAL THE FUCKING GAME!

Mother fuck!

Ok, I'm all better now.

I went 3-2 and then left after one season. :D

91. Buy a case of clipboards
and just smash the clipboards on the ground when either your team or the refs act like deaf, blind, and drunk morAns! (clipboards cost less then headsets)

92. A coach told me that.
So I did and yes, breaking those helped with my anger.

I don't think I would ever take it out on kids that age. However, by high school...
