After all these years, I'm just dying to know how many DUers listen to Ray or have listened to him on occasion and like his work.

I grew up in the SF Bay Area and remember listening to him when I was in high school. He has always been a part of my life. When I went to school and work in Los Angeles, I was sometimes able to receive him on powerful AM radios, and now thanks to even stronger radios and the internet, I can listen to him here in Arizona.

As long as I have been a politically aware human being, he has been my very favorite talk show host.

It's incredible to me; he's been on the air for at least thirty years, I believe.

Any other folks here listen to Ray?

4. I love Ray

When I travelled in the early 90's I didn't have a TV, so listening to the radio was where I got my news and alot of my entertainment. Whenever I travelled west of Denver at night I could pick up KGO and that's when I discovered Ray and Bernie Ward; I listened to them most nights. I was on the road when Clinton was elected in 1992 and I listened to Ray that night; that was a great experience.

Ray's one of a kind.

5. I much prefer Bernie Ward

Bernie's a great arguer and he has lots o' facts at hand. Ray seems interested only in "Gotcha!"

7. Ray's voice is so memorable, though

His voice has more than a little Frank Nelson in him which when he goes off on callers always cracked me up!

It's like you expect him to say, "Al in Sebastopol, you're on KGO with Ray Taliaferro. eeeYEEEEsssss!"
