I just received my first trick-or-treater EVAR.

Cute li'l neighbor guy with a skeleton suit, skull mask and a big plastic broadsword. His little sister is somewhere around, dressed as an adorable princess.

In my adult life, I've lived on a boarding school campus, in apartment complexes, in army barracks and family housing, and for more than a decade in a house tucked 'way off the road that no one knew existed. For the first time, miniature hobgoblins can find me. I have an enormous tub of candy waiting...waiting.

3. I'll never forget the horror of my 1st Halloween in this house 21 years ago

I wound up turning off all the lights and hiding in the basement after I ran out of both candy and cash. Haven't run out since!
