Selig is nothing more than an owner that somehow managed to promote himself into the Commissioners position. Bud knows that homeruns fill the stands which is why he's overlooked this brewing scandal for years. Sure, he's forming a 'study group' to investigate this, but lets face it - the man doesn't care about the fans of baseball but the bottom line of what the owners make.

I think it's time MLB give Bud the boot and hire a non-partisan person to run MLB. That's the only way we'll be able to clean up this league!

1. Baseball has become irrelevant.
In 2009 Bush will be appointed commish of baseball. Who cares about drug use.

2. This "brewing" scandal??

You did know that he and his daughter sold out a couple of years ago, right? This would probably explain the recent lack of Brewers suckitude, come to think.

3. Selig has wrecked MLB
The whole league is a mess, and the American people know it. Their numbers are declining year by year, and it's getting impossible for small-market, small-budget teams to make a go of it.

Screw Selig. Screw MLB.

9. Uhmm,
I'm a pirates fan. So that doesn't bother me.

And Pittsburgh sucks too! 14 losing seasons, though they did have the pre-steroid Bonds!

12. Record attendance last year.
People don't care about the subleties of baseball anymore, just the long ball.

10. I just don't care if professional atheletes do steroids or not.
I really don't care about sports at all, but it seems to me to be completely silly to worry about steroid use when nothing involving that much money is fair.

11. Selig should resign.
He should have done something about this YEARS ago, instead he became more like Officer Barbrady from South Park - "MOVE ALONG PEOPLE! NOTHING TO SEE HERE!".

13. He's done more about steroids than any previous commissioner

The players' union is much more responisble for the lack of action on this issue than the owners ever were. They sold the non-users down the river to protect the users.

Would it have been worthwhile to cancel another season just to get better drug testing? That would have med the NHL's labor practices look downright intelligent.

15. He's a buffoon. A complete embarrassment
One of those oddball old rich guys who I imagine must surround himself with a bunch of complete ass kissers to think that he is at all qualified to manage any kind of enterprise.

18. Wouldn't matter if he did.
They'd just find another way around it. Hell, for $20 million/year salary, I could afford to put Patrick Arnold (BALCO) on my staff.
