Buying a house with solar panels
Problem is the panels are not wired up to water heater as they once were. For some reason, an old owner switched over to traditonal configuaration. So now we have these panels on the roof sitting there doing nothing. How do I find a contractor to come over and suggest how to put them to best use? Is there such a thing as a licensed solar panel contractor? Or should I really be looking for an electrician? I'm in the foothills east of Sacramento.

1. Check out someone who sells/installs panels. Explain to them the problem and ask if
they can inspect the system and make recommendations.

6. Here are some links that you should check out
Below is a link to a PBS series about building green. The host goes through several episodes of his house construction. The link has the videos from the series as well as other interesting bits of info.

This link is from a google search for the company mentioned in the Building Green series. I'm not sure if it is the same company, however, they are located in Cali

I hope this helps somewhat. It would be really great if you could get those bad boys working for you.

Keep us posted if you are successful. Good Luck:hi:
