Why do coffee shops close at 10 p.m.?
Both Starbucks and Second Cup are closed and the late nite places serve crappy coffee.

1. If anywhere should be open all night!
I agree I wish I could go to one and work on papers at 3 am

2. Because if you drink coffee after 10 PM, you won't get any sleep?
You'd be a menace on the highway in the morning, after all, and they don't need any lawsuits.

5. Where are you at?
The Starbucks by my university closes at 12 on Fri-Sat, 11 all other nights.

6. Where are you at? The middle of suburbia?
The Starbucks by my university closes at 12 on Fri-Sat, 11 all other nights.

The only place I've ever seen a Starbucks close at 10 was in my hometown, in the middle of a heavily residential area -- and that was, I think the only one out of 10 places that did. Everywhere else, I think, closed at 11.

7. Probably cause people would buy one cup and sit there all night
They do most of their business around breakfast time I figure.

8. The Starbuck's drive through near me is open all night.
Denny's is open all night (inside) and they serve coffee.
