We brought it to our cat's attention, after we said a little blessing for it....and now she's actually eating it. I think it helped that it was still warm.

Was that terrible of me?

"Circle of Life" and all that.... :D

1. Home delivery
Is it terrible of me that I find that funny?

Well, after all, you didn't kill it.

3. ..
:spank: or :yourock:
I'll decide when I stop laughing.

And for Shine: it's terrible when a bird hits the window. We had a goldfinch incident a few years ago and decided to leave the body on the patio for the night creatures. Either a cat or a vulture carried it off.

4. I was the shadow of the waxwing slain
By the false azure of the windowpane
I was the smudge of ashen fluff -- and I
Lived on, flew on, in the reflected sky.

Opening lines of Nabokov's poem-framework novel "Pale Fire"

6. Poor birdie!
Used to have that happen when I lived in Reno. And the birds would also make nests under the roof, entering/leaving by those circle vent holes under the eave.
Looked up one day to see a dead one hanging by its neck/head stuck in the hole. x(

re: your kitty eating the bird:
Birds carry lice, and all sorts of other vermin and bacterial pests. Hope your kitty has some sort of protection.
