1. My dear Heidi!
Oh, sweetie...

That sounds awfully cold...

Here, I'll be glad to hold you...

I'm guessing this is abnormal?

And you'll be seeing snow on your palm trees? :scared:

I hope the weatherpeople have it all wrong!

4. I see what you mean...
That is kind of freaky...

I hope it won't last!

And that you'll get your better weather back soonest...

I think I saw some rain in your forecast for the weekend...

Hopefully that will drive the snow away...

3. Good news is it looks like the temps will stay above freezing
Edited on Wed Jan-02-08 02:53 AM by Droopy
Which will mean you will just be dealing with slush on the ground. When that temp falls below 32 and you are expecting three days of snow it's time to hit the grocery store and stock up. 12 degrees fahrenheit where I'm at right now with snow.

6. That's Ohio for you
It can be 100 degreees in the summer and -10 in the winter. If it weren't for all of my family and friends here and if I were still a trucker I would have moved south or southwest a long time ago.

14. I think they're hedging their bets, it doesn't seem like sustainable snow and you guys prolly...
have some lake effect thing going on that makes it harder for them to predict with any certainty; that's my read on the read :7

17. I think the world is ending.
Los Angeles has five days of rain in the forecast. FIVE STRAIGHT DAYS!! F.I.V.E.

We're going to float away.

We can be weather-doomed together. Rain in LA, snow in Locarno. The rapture index has got to be sky-high. :scared:

18. Yeah but how deep will it be?
I was going to go to Lake Tahoe this weekend for some skiing but the weather forcaster on the radio is saying over ten feet of new snow this weekend, that right I said feet. I like the snow but thats way to much and I dont want to get stuck their.

20. We've had snow a meter deep or more in the past.
I lived in Nebraska long enough that I wholly loathe, living in a traditionally Mediterannean climate, even the most slim chance of a blanket of snow. In climates like ours where appreciable snow accumulation is rare, snow removal equipment and budget are accordingly rare.

So far, it's not sticking, but there are two more days to go. And to be honest, I worry a lot more about the two days of rain forecasted for Saturday and Sunday.
