1. Is that your work?
It's REALLY stunning! I love the colors & texture with the overlapping wrinkled paper. What are those little glass beads? So pretty!

3. My husband's, I told Heidi I'd post some work from his new studio space...
:hi: :hi: :hi: It's called Free Trade, and I think you figured it out already cause it's the great crunch of trade policies impacting upon one another; glad you like it as it has great atmospherics too

10. that's interesting
I really like the play/3d on the Katsushika with the clear beads that look like water coming right off the page, and the perspective back to Fuji. I bet this is great to look at in person with the textures coming out at you, and the contrast between the beads v the paper.

14. yes, my husband refers to that as 'atmospherics', and will use such likelihoods...
as others would a color in a palette i.e. joy, hard to find in a tube but seeing people smile in proximity to it i think is cool :)

19. I like it.

No, I just looked at it again and I love it.

Is it an installation work? Or is it all one piece inc. the wooden background?

24. Heidi!!
Watching him work is a study in patience, note the little poke holes in the watercolor paper when you get a chance...

He laid out & executed the whole tsunami thing in like two weeks, works in very watery acrylic tints (like watercolor I guess); but after it dried laid in on the floor, Tim started walking all over it & clawing at it. I was all like,

"Tim! Get off of daddy's art work!!" hubby's all, "No, he's fine, let him do his thing."

What am I going to do with these two characters  glad you like though :pals:
