I'm sick. *moans*
I feel like somebody's been beating me with a rubber hose at hourly intervals. I'm coughing and chest-congested, my throat hurts, my ears won't equalize pressure, my nose is sore and chapped from constant nose-blowing, my whole body aches like mad, and I have a fever of 101--*after* 600 mgs of Motrin and some Tylenol. My abdominal, back, and chest muscles are sore as hell and trying to spasm and cramp from the constant coughing, sneezing, and nose-blowing. ThinkBlue1966 made cheesecake last night and I couldn't even taste the bite I had of it. :(

I need to go to the doc, but there's 8 inches of unexpected snow outside, and I have no way to get out of the house. Someone come work some magic and make all the icky-ouchies and the Evil Snow go away. :(

1. Ouch, I'm sorry.
I'm just now starting to get over a cold, and I came down sick LAST Wednesday, so I feel your pain.

2. I've had this for a week now, although the worst has been in the past 3 days.
At first I thought it might be strep throat (which is still possible--I never got to the doc to find out) but there's a virus involved somewhere too. Grrrr. I'd swear it was the flu if I hadn't gotten my flu shot 2 months ago like a Good Girl. :(

3. I've been home sick with the mild version of that
coughing, chest hurts, nausea sore throat headache and judging from how hot I was earlier today, feverish. Spent the day on DU because I am even too uncomfortable to sleep. Ick.
Awful aint it?

5. It is indeed
I'm praying it goes away before the semester starts. I can imagine only too well the horror of attending my much-coveted poetry class and coughing up green goo every 60 seconds for the entire class period. :(

Here's hoping we both feel better soon.

7. Wow I am sorry you are going through this oktoberain. Being sick like
that bites the big one.

Isn't it stupid that doctors won't come to people's houses anymore? When you get the chance you have to go out of the house and spread the same germs that got you sick around to other people. I loathe sitting in a doctor's office when everyone is couching and sneezing.

I hope you feel better. Vick's Vapor Rub always helps me. I even rub it on my sinuses, (don't get too close to eyes....burns). It clears me up pretty good.

11. I wouldn't want a house call today
My house is a mess right now, 'cause I've been sick and ThinkBlue1966 has been working her rear end off. *sigh*

8. I'm very sorry.
I hope the icky-ouchies go away quickly and gnomes show up to shovel away the snow.

Please be well soon.

10. Thank you sweetness
Your thoughts are, as always, very much appreciated. They give me a warm fuzzy feeling--or maybe that's the pain medicine. Oh well! ;)

12. We are juiceless!
Can you believe that? It's a travesty, an utter disgrace, to be without juice at a critical time such as this. I've been making do with lemon tea and chewable vitamin c.

13. Do you have any ginger?
If you can make some ginger tea it will help all your symptoms...especially the respiratory stuff.

So sorry you're sick!

14. I got that same crud,.......
symptom-for-symptom, minus the fever. If you find something that makes you feel better, let me know. I sure could use it.

15. Ah-hah! Now I know who to blame.
Your germs came and infected me from across the city, didn't they? *accusing stare*

More seriously--I'm probably going to Ruby's ER tonight if this doesn't get any better. The fever is rising, despite all the Motrin and Tylenol that I can safely take, so I'm guessing there must be something more to it than just a cold.

If you're feeling really crappy, come meet me at Ruby's ER tonight. We can be miserable and wait 9 freaking hours together, lol.

16. Those would have to be some pretty stout germs......
to travel all the way from Fairmont. I'm a Marion County resident now. But, I wouldn't put it past these germs. They got me laid pretty low, and nothing seems to help - as you know.

Get to the doc ASAP. A fever continuing to rise from 101 is nothing to fuck around with. Seriously.

OTOH, it looks like we won't have to deal w/ the snow very long. They're calling for temps in the 50's next week.

17. :(
I'm sorry. Being sick SUCKS.

I got the mother of all colds on December 19. I'm STILL stuffed up enough that sometimes I have to breathe through my mouth! Like right now, for instance. RI-FREAKING-DICULOUS.

Here's hoping yours disappears quickly!
