Anyone have a Sony Vaio and know where the settings panel is?
My SIL has one and has a problem with a jumping cursor. I've tried to trouble shoot it for her, but when she goes to the mouse control setting, she doesn't have all the options I do on a Dell (I'm trying to help her set the sensitivity on the touchscreen to "Low" in the hopes that it will help). She can't find the setting but she also had installed a different mouse at one point. Also, she was wearing a dangly ring that dragged over the screen and when she took it off it helped but I think that she still needs to adjust the settings.

Any ideas?

3. She may want to just get something to cover the touchpad.
There is no way on my Vaio to turn of the touchpad, and when I do not have it covered, even if I very lightly touch it, the cursor moves.

4. I'm all Vaio all the time
2 laptops and 2 deskstops.
I never have had a problem with my mouse settings at all- on any of the machines.
She could go to the Control Panel (click start, then hit control panel, then mouse)

Sorry I'm not more help- I've never had any kind of problem on mine at all so I'm not much good.

5. Yes, we tried that (I was via phone)
but it didn't have all the options for the touchscreen that I did.

She wears this big draggy ring on one of her hands, kept in place by a smaller ring. Since she can't get the problem to re-create when other people try her keypad, this seemed like a likely culprit. She said it helped to remove it, though it may be that there is residual sensitivity.
