I love Harmony, but I want family. (Do you have both?)
Now, this was in reply to my sister, who asked me who I wanted to invite to my BD party.

Harmony is a young family friend, one of the favorite hangout/Wii/D&D/etc. buddies of my 22-yr-old nephew. We all love her and she's usually involved in family events.

On this trip home I want to go to Disneyland. But I wanted to make it clear to my sister that I want it to be just the four of us - both my sisters, Mrs. V., and me. At the end of my "no" list was "no Harmony. I love Harmony but I want family."

Then I cracked up. I bust myself up sometimes. I wish I could make funny stuff up but it just comes to me.

Our family is effed up, and we're always struggling with money, but by god we love each other deeply, would die for each other. That makes us happy. So I'd say there's harmony.

How about you & yours?

1. both indeed, and in bucketloads. I totally get you wanting just your sisters
I have two ..one in KY and one in CT and I'm here in TX .. our heart's desire is a long weekend for the 3 of us with our 3 daughters. Damn near impossible. We love our spouses dearly and the two sons are wonderful. We just want a chick trip.

next best thing would be all of us with all our kids together for something other than a funeral or ao wedding

Have fun on your trip and plan something else that DOES include Harmony!

my sister is breaking it to her husband & son now - six weeks before the day - and pitching it as a girl's day out so they don't get their widdle feewings hurt.

Harmony will be at the party.
