My dogs seem to like a caucus more than a primary.
When they hear the word caucus (either on TV or coming out of our lips) -- they perk their ears and turn their heads -- like it may mean a treat is coming. They must know that a caucus is more of an interactive experience they would enjoy much more than going behind a curtain, all alone, and just pulling a lever.

My dogs ears perk when they hear the name of a local newscaster - Kumi Tucker - so now I run around the house singing "Kumi"

2. They're so funny, aren't they?
There are some commercials that they seem to stop and take notice of, too.

Maybe caucus sounds like the word biscuit to them.
