It's a sad day when you say to your kid
"So, when are we going to see Cloverfield?"

And he says, "I'm probably seeing it with my friends."

What next, trick or treating on his own? Seeing Santa without me?

Once they go to college, it's just not the same.

even more since i've been to college. when i come home for a break, my high school friends aren't generally around, so i hang out with my mom.

i never really went through the whole too cool to be seen with the parents thing, i guess :)

2. Actually we were just playing WII last weekend
And we did go see Tweeny Todd with his Dad. but we've been drooling over Cloverfield trailors for months, so I was a little bummed when he said he was seeing it with his friends. BUT I'm sure he'll be up for seeing it 2x. And one of the good things about seeing a horror sci fi movie he's already seen is, he can tell me when not to look.

I hope you and your Mom continue to have a really fun relationship!
