I am 50 miles west of St. Louis
and I am not amused. I really, really, REALLY hate tornadic weather. I'm scared.

5. I've cleared the path to the basement
so I can grab my kids and run. It's going to be a long night. I'm "sleeping" on the couch. I have a bad feeling about this one. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Thank you for the good wishes. I'm silly scared right now. It's embarrassing but I needed to ask for some help. I'm a loon.

11. I'm hearing the thunder coming in, and there is supposedly "rotation"
just North of me, less than 5 miles or so. Scary shit. We aren't supposed to have this type of weather till April or March!

13. I'm just across the river from you in Earth City
In a hotel with no basement. Oh, hell.

Right now it looks like the tornado stuff is south of us. I hope it stays that way--or better yet, dissipates.

21. Yes, we get tornadoes often enough to warrant them...
My grandmother gets annoyed by them, they are tested the first Monday of every month starting in March, I believe.

We just had a bunch of hail rain down. It's really cute on the back deck. I love how the thunder and lightening just keep going.

15. I'm in Springfield, MO
It's been bad. Two people are dead in the area. A friend of the family lost their home. They were in it when it was destroyed.

My sister was surrounded by tornadoes in Arkansas when I talked to her last.
