My poor rescue boy
He's always been protective of one of his ears so I asked the vet to take a look at his checkup today. She said it looks like his eardrum was popped at one point and isn't draining properly. I know he didn't have a good start in life but we thought he was just neglected and not abused.

Enjoying a rest by the fire

3. Is there anything your vet can do to help the draining?
I hope there is an affordable option to help the guy. What is he, a greyhound? Beautiful guy & he looks like he is in a very loving home. Lucky dog!

4. Got to put drops in it for a week
Which is going to be an adventure. Hopefully that plus some antibiotics will clear it up. He'll get a recheck next week.
He's an Italian Greyhound, the miniature breed but he's kind of tall for an IG

5. I understand the "adventure" part.
I have to pay my vet to clip my dogs (six of em) nails. Every time I try to do anything like that they think its play time.

7. What kind of %%#%@# could hurt an Italian Greyhound?
They're like the most delicate little creatures on the planet!

Beautiful, happy, sweet-looking boy you have there. Thank you for rescuing him.

6. Poor guy
He's big for an iggy. I've got a whippet that's about his size. He is very pretty and I see he has the traditional sighthound predilection for wrapping themselves to keep warm. We swear around our house that whippet is ancient Pictish for "blanket using dog". May you have many long years of good spoiling ahead.
