Irvine Family Offers $10K Reward For Stolen Puppy
http://cbs2.com/pets/Yorkshire.Terrier.Irvine.2.625485.html

The owners of a stolen puppy in Irvine are offering $10,000 for his safe return, no questions asked. Pauline Jolly said her family's 5-month-old male Yorkshire terrier Louie is "like my child."

The dog was last seen Saturday in the family car parked at a shopping mall lot.

Jolly said the pooch was dognapped while she was shopping for her daughter's birthday. She says she came out of the mall and noticed her car door was unlocked and the dog was gone.

Now I love animals and pets as much as the next person, but I am also of the mind that pets should be left at home, where they are comfortable. Dogs are not fashion accessories.

1. My two sides of this:
1. Leaving the dog in the car at the mall "on a stormy day" means windows rolled up. No idea what temp it is in Irvine is, but it's a bad idea either way. Leave the dog at home;

2. Were I wealthy, I would have had no problem with offering a huge reward to get my beloved big boy back. I'm not rich, but if I could get a few more years with him, I'd drop $10k tomorrow.

3. Yeah, my issue is not with the reward
This time of year in Irvine (I live in Irvine) is mid 60s during the day and mid 40s at night. So it is not overly hot, but still. I say it again, dogs are not fashion, dogs are dogs.

2. My dog would much rather go with me and sit in the car
than stay home alone. She loves being in the car, likes the excitement of watching people in parking lots, much better than just laying alone at home. I'm certain of it.
