I buy pre-fired (bisque) pieces and then paint them with ceramic underglazes, fire them, glaze, and fire again.

Or somewhere to take them? I used to do a lot of ceramic work -- i totally loved it. I told Iza that if we ever have a bigger house and extra money i might get a pottery wheel. :D

I've been thinking about buying a small electric kiln. Right now I take the pieces to a ceramic shop, where I buy supplies, for firing. I'm a painter and really enjoy 'decorating' just about any surface.
