Speaking of 'interesting' names.
Were we? Oh, yes, I digress.

At the eye doctor's Friday, there was a woman who came in and when asked if she could be helped stated her name as 'Kitten'. Series. I had to do a double take.

I thought that was a very odd name for a middle aged woman, given that it was more than likely not a nickname because she was in a doctor's office.

I am well aware that some people will think that my kids have weird names, but I have never heard Kitten as a name before and I thought it was a bit strange.

Apologies in advance if this seems judgmental, I am just musing.

1. Well, there was always
"Unless-Jesus-Christ-Had-Died-For-Ye-Thou-Hadst-Been-Damned Barbon."

He went by Nicholas.

2. I saw a 5-year-old on a reality TV show named "Survivor"
wonder where that one came from

(hint-- probably not the cheezy 80s band known for "Eye of the Tiger")

4. There's a boy in my son's class named Three-In-One.
He came by one day selling Boy Scout popcorn and I asked if I could get three for one. He was not amused. Nor was my son.

5. Gimme Cox. I kid you not, a woman named Gimme Cox.
Saw it a year or so ago on a deed. Gimme Cox, a single woman.

6. Could she have said "Kitty?"
I have heard Kitty as a nickname many times. I actually knew a grown woman with that name.
If it really was Kitten, I never heard that either.

Mothers - do NOT name your children while in the bathroom.
