So I'm taking this writing class, and it has occurred to me how much I suck.

This is an advanced writing class, and I must say, the quality of the writing from my fellow students is impressive! I have a lot to learn and much need to practice.

But you know the motto: You need to learn how to SUCK before you can achieve SUCK-CESS.

3. What does that mean, exactly: advanced writing class?

I mean is there a focus like technical, poetry, novel development, essays, speechs?

5. It's a class that doesn't focus merely on the fundamentals of writing...

plot structure, characterization, etc., but probes more deeply into developing stronger writing.

6. What would an assignment consist?

writing a dream sequence in order to get to the emotional center of a story, where your characters' experiences are particularly eidetic.
