I'm scared

I got a note in the mail from my doctor. (I guess she couldn't find my present telephone number in my chart.) She wants me to call her about a test result.

Usually, w/ this test, if it's ok, you just a get a note in the mail saying "your test came back normal."

This isn't small... if there's an issue here, it won't be small.


I'm scared.

Sometimes they just need to repeat a teat because of a lab error, or an ambiguous result.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that that's the case.

7. UPDATE:

The nurse says the test is "abnormal" but not pre-cancerous. They want to repeat the test in 3 months, just to keep an eye on things.

I feel much better now.
