Will Skinner allow to change usernames?
in 2004 Skinner allowed to change usernames. Will he allow it again after the election in November after a Democrat will become President?

And what would be your name be if you change it (that is if it is necessary)?

1. Not sure
Edited on Wed Jan-16-08 09:16 AM by supernova
I've sorta "become" supernova and like the association w/ all things celestial.

Skinner allowed name changes then because a lot of people had nicks that included '04, alway sfexpat2002 is still passe. :P (j/k pat)

Would you want to change your screenname Miss Honeychurch?

edit: it's possible they'd do it again, since so many have named themselves after candidates that will fall by the wayside.

18. I think it's mostly that I missed a lot of the 90s games
never had a Nintendo or anything as a kid. My parents managed to keep a roof over our heads, but not much else. But we lived in an upper-middle class area, so all my friends had it and I only got to play ever now and then when I was over at their houses. :)

And of course, since they had those games 24/7, they were used to them and they didn't think much of them. But since I didn't, I could analyze them from an outside perspective and see how they could be improved. Which is what I want to do with my games. Take out the really annoying stupid things from those old games and yet still keep the spirit and fun that they had. :)

20. Since I grew up in the GDR
we didn't even had Nintendo and stuff. But then, we were one of the fews who had a computer (Schneider) and had some games. I have good memories of those :D

25. Yeah, we got a computer eventually
Edited on Wed Jan-16-08 10:19 AM by DarkTirade
but they didn't usually have the same kinds of games for computer at the time.

We had a computer version of Double Dragon, but it was totally different than the Nintendo version. I mean, the characters were the same and the levels were similar... but not the same. And the controls were different. And in the computer version you had all your moves right away, you didn't have to earn them.

I totally kicked ass at it too. Which is probably why I didn't like the Nintendo version... I gave it a try and sucked immediately. :)

The games I mostly played as a kid were the adventure games. Little to know action/arcade stuff. Just walking around and doing stuff.

14. It may be the sheer volume of users...
...that has caused him to disallow routine changes. I'd imagine, though, that his native coolness will drive him to allow one-time changes next year. A single change may be trivial for him, but there are an awful lot of us.
