1. That's too bad. He got me into playing chess.
And he was young

2. Me too
I still have a thirty--something year old copy of his "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess." And a copy of His Favorite Sixty Games.

3. I should read that book again. I really suck at chess now and I'd like
to play like I used to. It's one of those things where if you don't use it you lose it, at least for me.

4. Yeah, if you don't use it, you lose it
But it comes back fairly quickly. My problem is that no one wants to play me. Not because I'm so good, it's just a general lack of interest.

6. He was an ass....a raving anti-semite (although half-Jewish), who
believed the US deserved to be attacked on 9/11. His personality and misanthropy ended up overshadowing his accomplishments in chess playing.

It was recently discovered both his parents were Jewish.

Definitely a loonball.

14. There was a black women on Dr. Phil who hated black people
She married a white man, (really white, red hair and fair complexion). She didn't want her kids who were 1/2 black to play with other black kids. She sounded like a member of the KKK.

It was weird but of course they had some famous black women talk to her and she changed her tune.
