Daniel Day-Lewis - There Will be Blood, based on Upton Sinclair's, Oil...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upton_Sinclair">Oil...Day-Lewis' work in http://paramountvantage.com/blood">There Will Be Blood is a stunning application of character study, a very stark, bleak expose of the wild-cat/often criminal thought process, and thinking; the twisted entrepreneurial spirit that circles round oil too often. An interesting, strange new form of western. Jonny Greenwood's score is wonderfully contemporary, emotive, poignant, and reminiscent, at least for me, of: Samuel Barber.

Go see it, there are no light sabers, but it's a good one. Like some vegetables that maybe should be eaten after all

5. How can you mention the film without mentioning that Paul Thomas Anderson is pretty much brilliant?
I haven't even seen the film yet, but I loves me some P.T. Anderson.

I can't wait to see this. Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and Punch Drunk Love are all on my list of favorite films, and Hard Eight isn't bad either.

10. I actually haven't seen Hard Eight, but I'll agree about the rest.
Magnolia is probably in my all time top 5.

11. Hard Eight is very good.
Not as good as Boogie Nights or Magnolia, but still very well done.

14. I can't wait to see it.
P.T. Anderson is one of my favorite directors, and the previews look great.

Gossip: he was Fiona Apple's boyfriend for a few years, and now he's with Maya Rudolph. They had a child recently. And of course, Maya Rudolph is the daughter of Minnie Ripperton.

Loooviiin' yooouuuuu... is easy cuz you're beautiful...

16. It's a *great* film effort, P.T.'s shots are all essential; very contemporary in it's application...
hubby's youngest daughter hits *that note* of Minnie's when she does karaoke, Oy!
