I'm a wimp, I know it.
I'm still awake and seriously considering not going to work tomorrow. My work is too demanding for me to perform it when I am mentally drained. And if I am tired and emotional (as I am very much right now) I'm not going to be able to do passable work.
This is avoidance of the issue on my part, but I am afraid that if I do go in I will lose control of my emotions a bad thing.
Even though I don't have paid leave, I don't have health insurance either at the moment so maybe a mental health day is called for.
Well, I don't know if anyone is listening or really cares but this carthartic post is somewhat helpful to me I think....

1. Even if we don't have advice to give
sometimes just sounding it out can help you make up your mind. :)

2. I understand about taking a day off
and I think you should do what you think is right for you. But let me provide a few words of motivation if you should go in and try to deal with it. If you go into work tomorrow declare loudly, "I've come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass! And I'm all out of bubble gum."

3. I thank you for your kind advice
but what I really want to do is just pull the blanket over my head and tell the rest of the world to go to hell at the moment.
I think all the stesses and traumas of the past six months have caught up with me (and I know you know about my family situation which is still...not good). As soon as I get health care again I think I need to see about going back on the anti-depressants again...

4. That health care deal is a pain in the ass.
I worked at a company for 7 months as a temp without adequate health care. I was shelling out $350 a month for my prescriptions because the little health insurance that I did have would only pay $50. Getting hired on as a permanent employee was like getting a $300 a month raise when I finally got decent health insurance. I'm of the opinion that nobody should have to work under those conditions. But I did because I couldn't do any better. I think you should be able to get the anti-depressant you need right now with no cost to you. It ought to be a gaddamn right!

I am familiar with the stresses you have experienced with your family. I wish you well with improved relations with them.
