I will respond, nicely even, to counter any evil accusations you might say.

2. The picture on the bottom left hand side is crooked
It needs to be straightened or I will have to come there and do it myself.

4. Cheap frames
The oak is real, but the acrylic is cheap and the board behind it is cardboard. They all go crooked after time.

When I become rich and famous, I'll buy better frames and a more distinguished desk to hide cables...

And a house, so I don't need to house the speaker system upturned because the downstairs neighbors get pissed over the bass thumping down on them. And I don't listen to rap or much anything made after 1985 either!

anyone who has the guts to openly display their Access 2007 software earns a spot in this gal's heart.

15. Aww, thanks!
Access 2007 is nice... I can still think of a couple obvious improvements, but Microsoft will figure that out by Access 2010... :D

18. Feel sorry for me then, using Access 2003 to work in databases
created in Access 2000 that some idiots who had no BUSINESS opening them (I HATE when I go on vacation and have a "helper" at my desk that is allowed to open my stuff) tinkered with and now I constantly have forms references error out with no way to remove the references, even in the code view...and am too lazy (and also time strapped) to re-create them....sigh

Try getting outside of that ROOM first.

The meds below the screen stage left speak VOLUMES, by the way.

Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 09:43 AM by HypnoToad
Both pertain to arthritis...

It's the screen on the right too... O8)

I stopped going outside a long time ago... I'll explain why one day. No, I'm not allergic to everything nor did I live in a bubble... there's a hint in that somewhere...

Funny how you'd joke about implied mental illness... Usually when I do the same, I get told not to... (little do they know, but that's okay too... )

16. Just jokin' kiddo. you know that.
When weeks start off like this one, Gallows Humor is my only refuge.

Shit. Now the tic in my right eye has started up, and my neck has started to get stiff and hurt.

Drugs, please.

I still take everything literally; even despite fighting the "aspie mindset". Still, compared to 10 years ago, I've improved a great deal. Weird, huh? :)

25. Weird is GOOD.
Normal is just a point that's tangent to a curve. There is no such thing as "Normal" the way they define it.

I still wish the tic would go away. Annoying.

11. Logitech X-540. Definitely a nice set...
:)

The monitors were on sale; bought over a period of time. (I ain't rich yet...) And are just about suitable for graphics manipulation. (Being a semi-autistic, I can perceive colors in a different way and even mentally compensate for what aLCD can't show. Though those budget models are high quality; the panels of which are used in monitors costing twice as much...)

13. I see programming/design books or boxes... so obviously you do that.
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 09:45 AM by DarkTirade
I also see Dr. Who memorabilia, so you seem to have good taste in entertainment.

I also see pills, which explains a whole lot. :P

I keed, I keed.

Dual flatscreens and a nice speaker setup... so I'm guessing the programming/design is paying off.

I also see a Microsoft Access either box or book... either way I'm assuming that you end up going in and helping people who THINK they can use Access, but end up making a big honkin' mess and eventually have to pay you decently large sums of money to come in and do it right. :)

And a joystick, which one would assume is for flight sims since they're pretty much the only games these days that use joysticks.

19. Hmmm
I understand programming principles. But I gave up programming years ago. (e.g. BASIC, Java, et al)

Some WHO memorabilia, but not gone overboard - too easy to attempt with everything sold these days. :)

I am learning server 2003, Access 2007, and re-focusing on ITIL - project management may be a better future; I see things as "puzzles" anyway...

The pills, LOL. They're a reminder of my corporeal form. As replied earlier, they are for arthritis (and psoriasis). I may be wacky, but I am mostly sane... O8)

The monitors were on sale -- eventually the TV will be monitor 2 and the second monitor going into the bedroom; replacing the CRT and a low-end media PC used. Net electricity usage will be lower and I do not wish to get greedy and buy a 40" LCD set. Or TV going into bedroom and using monitor 2 as a tv out here; it's not 32" but it definitely works... uses less energy too; what I don't use gets turned off. (Even monitor 2 gets turned off when rendering.)

Server 2003 boxes with Access on top. I'm flip-flopping between future career options; I love database work and can figure out the maths involved. Project management and ITIL I've thought about as well... server support is iffy... what isn't iffy but I like to know things and feel I have a future.

I did buy into Flight Simulator X because of MS's hyped DX10 support. Sadly, DX10 - so far - isn't as pretty as they sold it as being, but is just nice enough to keep enabled. :( I don't fly much these days; too busy getting back into photoshop and fractal art hobbies. So much to fiddle with...

20. It's powered off right now.
A TV that can be hooked to the computer or moved elsewhere. In an apartment, I only have so much room; everything I do is more for efficiency, but the actual reading area is very uncluttered...

I'm thinking I might move it to the bedroom and nix the CRT altogether; it's near its end of life anyway...
