I finally realized how I can connect to all this

I still get misty sometimes, and I suppose other people might find that amusing, too.



We all have our icons. It doesn't matter why we hold them in such esteem, or even reverence, and perhaps even we can't explain it. What matters is they were important to us, however silly that may seem to others.

They made us happy, and perhaps they inspired us, and we're very sad that they're gone.

It's personal.

1. I assume this is in response to the Ledger death?

I know what you mean. I never saw anything Ledger appeared in, but I was horribly saddened yesterday by the news of John Stewart's passing.

When I heard that Charles Bukowski died, I didn't take it well. He kept me alive in some very, very bad times in my life, and I wasn't ready to let go of his soul quite yet. But I realized that as long as I had his words I didn't have to.

They inspire and affect our lives whether they knew us or not. We knew enough about them to know they made a difference...to us.
