What's the best, most fun thing you've ever done?
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 06:37 PM by Breeze54
I'm going to say that my two week trip, cross country from Massachusetts to Nevada,
in an old, paintless, beat up Ford Torino, with a friend was the most fun!!

We had a blast!!

My employer paid for me to go to a three day seminar in St. Charles and my husband went with...I spent four hours each day at the seminar catching up on my sleep if you know what I mean *wink wink*

7. Some random guy I picked up at the airport.
He smelled nice, and (imagine my good luck) he's vegan. So I was like "Hey, my date's late, you'll do. Carry my suitcase, would you?"

18. Scrawny feller like that can't carry a suitcase properly
I don't believe you. I think he was pawing through your trashcan and you felt bad for him because it was so cold and rainy out. Two weeks later and you couldn't dream of returning him to the little old lady who put up wanted signs on all the telephone poles in town, so you stuck him in the basement for a few months.

I'm tiny to begin with, and I certainly don't look any less miniscule in such solid company. I think I'm probably going to get carded until I'm menopausal at this rate.

Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 06:49 PM by Breeze54
and my answer was always the same. Nothing! :P

I just drink a lot of water, get rest and due to fair skin, stayed out of the hot sun.

I didn't and don't use any facial creams or any of that. Just good food and water. ;)

He is a cutey! Good choice!

4. on my honeymoon in Rome
I came home preggers, tho not on purpose. We'd already lived together for two years, so it wasn't any big deal, as far as timing, plus we didn't take our honeymoon until a year later. the day after I got married I walked down the street and went to work.

30. oh, but there's more...
the reason we had a honeymoon in Rome was because my spousal unit knew he was going to a conference in Rome the next year and that his ticket and hotel room would be paid so we only had to buy my ticket. we walked all over Rome with a backback full of bottled water and then ate at little restaurants near our hotel (which was also in the cheaper part of Rome, not the Via Veneto, etc. There were these amazing banquets the group sponsoring the conference hosted at night. In rooms with gesso on the ceiling.

we got married at city hall and didn't have anyone else there... long story, but I was "living in sin" in my family's opinion. I wasn't that hot on getting married but we knew we wanted to have kids, so we did it.

anyway... while my spousal unit was giving a presentation/attending the conference, I was a tourist with my now ex spousal unit's licensiate advisor's wife. clear as mud, huh? We hunted down all the Caravaggios we could find (and I had a weird moment when this old man let us in to a closed museum and gave us a complete tour. I think he was saying really vulgar things to me as he held my arm and led us around the building.) anyway, one church where we found a caravaggio also had a small statue of Mary that people would rub if they wanted to get pregnant. I backed up to look at the alterpiece in this church and accidentally rubbed against the Madonna Del Parto... and came home preggers. I wanted to contact the pope to see if that would qualify as a miracle, but my son most definitely was not a virgin birth. :smoke:

After the conference was over, since I had already walked all over the place in Rome, I gave my spousal unit a tour of the city and we came upon musicians in piazzas and someone was shooting a movie and I ran because I thought they were using real guns... anyway, even tho we're no longer married, I know that trip is one my ex will never forget either.

In a ocean view time share that we got on the cheap courtesy of my friend's relatives in Aruba...I walked out from the beach and snorkelled every day. Tons of fish! It was like swimming in an aquarium.

35. Two things:
1. Coachella '07 - had a blast and saw some of my favorite bands all in one convenient area, and in one three-day weekend. Rage Against The Machine, The Decemberists, The Roots, Willie Nelson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Peeping Tom, Gogol Bordello, so many others.

2. The Great American Beer Festival - three days of sampling the best microbrews in the country. I've gone the last 3 years in a row with my dad. This year I'm going with some of my buddies and it should be a blast.

Then in a couple of weeks I'm going to meet up with some friends in Lexington, KY and tailgate at a UK basketball game.

42. So many to choose from
I'm going to go with calling the law on myself just so I could outrun them on my motorcycle when they came. A car cannot keep up on dirtroads. Yes, I was young and dumb.

On that line of thought we used to call the sherriff on Halloween to get deputies to come to our town. Then we'd egg them. We all were camoflaged up and the cops played along every year until some jackass threw rocks.
