Tailbone Injury. Can't Exercise, and I feel guilty.
Monday I fell and sustained a hard knock or fracture to my tailbone (coxyxx?). Last week I had a "stinger" which is a transient nerve damage injury to the neck, cervical spine, and arm, but it healed quickly.

The tailbone injury, ridiculous as it seems, has become a big issue. It hurts like HELL. It's hard to walk my dog or lift weights. I can do yoga okay. It's difficult to find a comfortable sitting or lying down position.

This is the first time in a long time I'll have to go without lifting weights or aerobic exercise, and I want to know how much muscle I will lose per day by laying off.

4. Don't feel guilty.
Your muscle won't atrophy all that quickly, and doing yoga will help retain muscle mass.

It's better in the long run to let your injury heal before you try to do very much. Otherwise you run the risk of making it worse and having to lay off exercise even longer.

The good news is that muscles have good memory, and you can rebuild your strength pretty quickly once you start up again.
