Can anyone help with an idea for a second soprano range solo
song to be performed by a 14 year old? Looking for something hip, but acceptable for school. Thanks!

6. She is trained, but wants something less formal, with a social
or political message; hip but challenging vocally. Thanks for asking!

7. Charles Ives maybe?
He wrote lots of songs that can be sung with male or female voices (transposing by octave), many with certain types of political messages (fun fact: Charles Ives was a big insurance man who invented war bonds during WWI)..... but something 80 -100 years old and sorta weird sounding a teenager might not think is "cool". Prolly cooler than Bach or something though.

is looking for. She isn't mainstream teenagy, so it just might work.
