Which places are helping people get clean?

Which places are just expensive resorts so that movie studios can write the stars' health fees off and reassign them to movie contracts?

And also, what makes people who appear to have "everything" feel so down, so sad, so self-destructive, that they can throw it all away?

8. This particular one is the Pasadena Rehab Center run by Dr. Drew Pinsky

A lot of people think the show is over the top and sensationalized...
I have to say, I think it is good.
They show what really happens during recovery.

I did read that certain emotional things that the patients asked to be kept private
were edited from the show.

It is a great place, full of memories.

But from the little bit I know, many celebrities go out of California for treatment. It is safer and less claustrophobic, although more expensive.

17. I think this show is the most real of any "reality" show

I think Dr Drew is sincere (and hot...sorry)

but I don't see it as exploitative I think it is showing the real and ugly side of drugs and addictions

I had no idea that binge drinking was so hard to work with (as far as treating alcoholism).

I think it is DIFFICULT to watch and people like to make jokes... but the truth is, it's real and it's supposed to be difficult to watch.

I Lurve Dr. Drew- I totally think he's a hottie & I have since I was a kid and he was on KROQ.

she knew that would cut Jeff esp while he is recovering, and then she plays the victim...it was awful to watch the emotional abuse she put him through, and her denial of her role in it

but, Daniel Baldwin is one of my least favorite persons in the world. He just needs to shut the fuck up :mad:

34. Conaway is broken, possibly beyond repair...

Where are his dreams, his goals, his life without the dope? Does he have any interests? Hobbies? Work?

I haven't seen any reason for him not to stay wrecked for the rest of his life. Without something to look forward to when sober, some people just won't get sober. And the girlfriend is no help. She'll keep him down there for whatever sick reasons she has.

The rest of them are kind of interesting in their own ways. Even Baldwin, who should shut up once in a while, knows exactly what the deal is. Whether he'll go the route is another question. From the previews, it doesn't look like it.

Chyna's still kind of confused about the whole thing, but the other women all seem to be getting something out of this. Lessee how the pool thing works out next weeek.

And is the new guy gonna punch someone out? Talk about issues...
