So I was lying in bed thinking about loss...
..and realized I don't handle loss well. And wondered if other people handle it better because they are stronger or because they embrace all of what life has to offer-- and they realize loss is also part of life.

While my coffee was brewing, I checked my email. I received an email from someone who'd been a friend of mine. They felt they could no longer be my friend and had a perfectly good explanation why.

But I can't stop crying. And, fuck it, why do I wear my emotions on my sleeve anyway? I'm just seen as a pathetic, needy, drama queen, around here now.

But, really, what makes some people just shrug it off? Why can't I be that way?

11. I am a person that internalizes things! I can assure you there is no plus to it.
Sometimes you just really need to let it all out!

I'm sorry... I know you are trying to help. Your post just struck me as sort of funny. But it did get me to stop crying... so, hey, thanks!

17. YAY!
Nah, I meant the loss... I tend to view everything in my life as going or already gone... so when something or someone goes... I always sort of expect it.

I can certainly relate to the drama queenness! :)

18. don't sweat it - it's healthier to let yourself experience you emotions, imo
plus, if it helps - and I know it doesn't at the moment - that person probably is unaware of the reasons they should not jettison your friendship. Their reasons - or rationalization likely - seems legitimate to you now, but there's a balance between taking that to heart for the right reasons (such as determining if there is something you want to change about yourself) and not beating yourself up for things outside of your control.

Again, I know it's easy to say that, but I am the same way with loss. Take care.

20. Thank you
It did catch me off-guard. Mainly, I think, because I was just thinking about loss, only seconds before opening that email. *sigh* Why can't I be psychic in a good way? You know, like picking the winning power ball lottery numbers! ;-)
