Question about chocolate: in a recipe can i switch dark chocolate w. white chocolate

Question about chocolate: in a recipe can i switch dark chocolate w. white chocolate
and leave everything else the same?

i often make warm chocolate cake w. whipped cream but today i want to make a white chocolate warm cake with dark chocolate sauce instead

so do i need to make any other adjustments to the recipe

2. White chocolate and dark chocolate have nothing but
their fats in common, with white being almost pure cocoa butter. You'd be better off looking for a recipe that calls for 'almond bark' and then substituting white chocolate.

3. You'll need to use less sugar, because white chocolate is considerably sweeter.
