5. I haven't played with the caps yet.
I did like the smell of gunpowder.

I bought two 2000 shot packs for a $1.

I don't remember what caps cost back in the 60's.

You should see all the warnings on the package.

10. These are the warning on the back of the caps.

Caps and toy guns maybe hazardous if misused.

This should only be used with adult supervision.

Do not carry caps loose in pockets.

How did we make it to adulthood.

2. Oh, you young 'uns
I was done with cap pistols long before Uncle.
I was more the early Gunsmoke generation. Had a fine set of pistols.
A nice pair of "pearl" handled revolvers with holster and another smaller one you could hide.

7. I had several cap guns,
I had Johnny O Seven and a really nice set of cowboy guns.

I was really into guns.

3. I use the end of a baseball bat or a 20oz claw hammer to fire off a whole roll at a time.
I believe it has damaged my hearing a bit, but it still wakes up the neighborhood.

4. We did that.
Remember burn marks.

I got to get busy and teach the girls down the street the joy of caps.

6. Employing magnifying glass can be kinda fun, too...
although the individual caps just sort of make a pfutz sound when the fire off.

13. You reminded me of my favorite cap gun.
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 07:11 PM by Kutjara
It was a revolver, like a .38 police special, and you fit the individual caps into the bullet chambers, just like on a "real" gun. The caps were shaped like tiny spray-can tops, so they fit snugly over the receiver in each chamber. Now that was a cap gun! I coulda held up a bank with that baby.
