Krewe of Barkus - New Orleans went to the Dogs Yesterday
Mardi Gras season is in full swing in New Orleans and yesterday the Mystic Krewe of Barkus took over the French Quarter. The theme of their parade: "INDIANA BONES AND THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST BARK."

http://www.nola.com/mardigras/index.ssf/2008/01/barkus_enchants_packed_streets.html

There are parades tonight and local radio wanted to know if people would go to the parades or listen to the SOTU speech. Guess which won overwhelmingly in the Land that care forgot?

Mardi Gras is next tuesday! Let the Good Times Roll.

3. Happy Mardi Gras BOSS!
:hi:

Hello, hello! I hope all is well with you. I've been busy, busy. We are having a warm spell and break from the cold and rain so I've been trying to do some gardening and rake the leaves off of my patio while they are dry.

I must remember to order a King Cake to share with my co-workers!

Y'all have a great Mardi Gras!

4. Always
great to hear from you My Dear. I've been a lazy bum so far this year. My yard needs me to get out and get to it, but I'll get "round" to it. Been rather cool so far in 2008, with a good amount of peaceful rain. We got some monster Snapdragons teasing us with expectant blooms. Pansies around our Crepe Myrtle out by the street are looking good. I never could figure out how calling someone a Pansy was supposed to be a bad thing. I wouldn't want to be outside overnight naked in 22 degree temperatures and then look great the next day.

Don't know if I'll make it to town this week. Not a great weather forecast for Friday through Tuesday (Rain.) I hope you have a Very Happy New Year.
